Bhutan Happy Scarf in Merlot
This scarf transports me to Tuscany in winter. I am sipping a rich red glass of wine by a log fire, while overlooking the misty hills outside. And who doesn’t love Italy? Colours are deep and gorgeous.
By buying a Happy Scarf you are helping illiterate women in Bhutan become financially independent for the first time. Be inspired by the AnabyKarma story. Read it here.
Ana by Karma scarves are all handmade by women in Bhutan using Indian cotton yarn. They are individually woven on traditional wooden hand looms in the rural mountain villages of Bhutan. Most of the scarves have a handwoven motif which uniquely identifies the artisan weaver who crafted it. Go to our website to get to know the artisan who spent a day or more to make your unique Happy Scarf.
Every scarf is 170cm X 30cm. Hand wash in warm water. Colours will not run.
A portion of your purchase is channelled to fund on-going programs that develop the weavers' artistic and business skills, as well as their literacy, delivered by the Institute for Management Studies Bhutan.
